Where The Hell Is MOD?

Here’s some honesty for you. We are two weeks away from selling our home–which has been an ordeal in it of itself. And, guess what? We still have not found a new house. So, now we are faced with the dilemma of being “all-packed-up with nowhere to go”.

This is in addition to dealing with the worst first trimester a woman could ask for….I’m talking ALL DAY nausea, migraine headaches, body soreness, constipation, exhaustion, extreme swelling, congestion, heartburn…Oh, did I mention ALL DAY NAUSEA?!?

There are days I’m literally numb with pain. And, it’s not as if I can just call out from work. Let me paint a picture for you. After lying on the floor of my bathroom from 4am to 6am, hugging the toilet like we’re close friends who’ve been reunited, I arrive in the office at 7:30 am to a group of co-workers who revel in talking loudly about absolutely nothing!

Seriously, aside from my breasts getting bigger (which are the only thing on my body worth looking at) this pregnancy is for the birds!

And guess whose son decided that now was a good time to pre-test the terrible twos?

photo-1S Dot has become the fussiest man-child we’ve ever come in contact with. We have actually changed his name to The Dictator because all he does is aggressively demand things and walk around exerting his tyranny. He can’t speak English, though judging by his rants he clearly doesn’t know that. I swear my son sounds like a mix between Kim Jong-il and Hitler. It’s very unsettling.

I digress. What I am trying to say to you is that I am committed to Mommy’s Open Diary, but I am in a state of influx right now (along with acid reflux). I cannot post as much as I would like but once things calm down, and we unpack my computer, I have a lot of diary entries to make up for. I appreciate and value your support. Please don’t give up on me.

My diary entry is this, “I want to be able to do it all, but being able to admit that I can’t is a true sign of maturing.” (or at least that is what I’m telling myself).
